A competition set by The RSA to creatively illuminate and clarify the audio clip "Towards and Educational (R)Evolution" by teacher and author Debra Kidd.
Debra Kidd triggered the reflection on my own time in school sympathising with her views. During my time at school few creative subjects were offered in the curriculum, deemed inferior to the more academic with success measured by the ability to memorise copious amounts of information over a specific period rather than by creative flair or expression.
As I had been simultaneously working on a project to convey the power of visual imagery l aimed to target a similar audience, exploring a theme a wide range of people could relate to with my own childhood experience of school in mind.
The animation is sadly unfinished due to its complex design structure I taught myself in the short time span given at university.
